Premium Landscape Statements

INTRODUCTION:

The Landscape Statements Module prepares a comprehensive statement for your clients. This premium statement includes color pie charts, schedules and summaries that are further explained on easy-to-read detail pages.

You can print the statements on stationary or print a color logo on the cover page using plain paper. The statements can be scheduled through the tickler system for one or more related party in each account, or run as needed. Statements can be printed for individual accounts, master accounts or for account groups. You can send a PDF file to a mailing house for outsourced handling.

The report has many configuration options, for both content and position of information. Some options are set up for the entire office. Others are set up for individual accounts.

REPORT SECTIONS:

The cover page can be set up as portrait or landscape orientation to fit the address window of your envelope. Some of the available cover page elements include:

  • your company name, address and phone number.
  • your logo, printed from a bitmap (BMP) file.
  • up to three officer names, with optional titles and phone numbers.
  • a free-form message to all accounts.
  The summary page options include:

  • a pie chart showing asset allocations as of the statement date.
  • a breakdown by asset class of market value, tax cost, estimated annual income and current yield.
  • a market value reconciliation, that summarizes activity and market gain/loss during the period.
  • a gain/loss summary showing a breakdown of long-term and short-term realized gains during the period.
  • historical performance for the account if those Internal Rates of Return (IRR) have been previously calculated in the system.
  • a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) message for IRAs when applicable.
Standard columns in the asset summary include: market value, cost basis, percentage invested at market, percent of category holdings, estimated annual income and income yield.

  The asset summary options include:

  • the order of the list of asset class groups and the underlying categories to fit the classifications you use in your office.
  • a projected income chart with a column for each month. This is especially useful for accounts that need to receive a consistent income stream each month.

The asset detail expands the asset summary section to show individual securities, including the cost basis. A Department of Labor mandated message about diversification of assets can print with the asset details for appropriate accounts.

An optional maturity schedule categorizes fixed income assets by maturity date. For each category, the report shows cost basis, market value, percentage of fixed income holdings and percentage of portfolio holdings.

  The report of transactions section:

  • presents a chronological listing of transactions during the period.
  • can be presented with income cash and principal cash transactions in separate sections or combined as one cash report.
  • can print check number and payee details.
  • classifies each sale transaction as long-term or short-term, with a breakdown if multiple tax lots were sold.

BENEFITS:

The Landscape Statements Module adds value to the core system by …

  • giving you a competitive advantage over a broker-style statement.

  • increasing the number of columns compared with a portrait format.

  • adding the option to print historical performance information.

COMPLEMENTARY MODULES:

  • PDF Statements is a feature in our development queue that will allow you to send statements to clients by email or display them on TNETonline. We can assist with third-party services for sending encrypted e-mails.

  • Performance Measurement calculates an IRR (Internal Rate of Return) for each account. The Detailed Performance Report also calculates the IRR for each asset class within an account. If these values have been calculated, you can configure them to print on the Landscape Statements summary page.
